New Experiences

Thanks for the support ladies.  I think it's just been a bad beginning and I'm looking forward to it getting better soon.

On another note, I just got my new drivers license back and Virginia completely changed it.  You're not allowed to smile in the picture, so you just look PO'd (I guess that's because when people get pulled over, they don't exactly smile)...and the whole license looks like a play-toy.  It's blue and purple and yellow and has all these fancy features, yet still looks like a play-toy.  Hey, Virginia:  I don't need any help looking like a 14 year old...thanks for the new toy, though.

Also, Ben and I have just survived our first Virginia Beach thunderstorm.  I'm pretty sure it was a monsoon....  It was really fun driving back from Applebee's with our friends just an hour ago.

Oh, Tidewater Area...there are so many new things I'm learning about you.

Oh ceec, I know you're having a hard time. You know you can call me whenever you want. I'll always pick up the phone for you.

Just think though, you'll have some house guests in just a few weeks! Love you and miss you. Stay strong!

You can also call Mom and Dad too. You know, now that I'm FREE for the summer, maybe I could drive down sometime and we could have a girl day. Have your people call my people.

I really appreciate Virginia changing the rules just when I get a decent ID photo. Many years of awkward pictures and I'm finally finished 'growing up' They owe me. BIG time.

Agreed.. our new licenses are less than appealing. My old one doesnt expire until 2016 so I plan on keeping it until then.

Just found your blog. I just moved to the VA Beach/Norfolk area and the whole weird weather and random rain is not something I've gotten used to yet! I haven't switched my drivers license over to a Virginia one yet but from what you described I think I'll keep my old one :/

you know.. you're not allowed to smile b/c they're experimenting with new facial recognition technology. So they want everyone to have the same expression.
