Military Wife
I got my military ID today! As excited as I was to get it, Ben and I had to wait in line for 2.5 hours. TWO AND A HALF HOURS. We're just lucky the Navy Unit gave Ben the morning off so we could go get the ID's. Now that I have mine I'm officially entitled to all privileges that come with the military life. Ahh the good life.... (until Ben ships out, that is)
Wood Flooring Photos
Well, it's not completely done. When we were going into this project on Friday afternoon, I figured it would be an all-day-Friday and all-day-Saturday project and then it would be done. Little did we know it took all-day-Friday, all-day-Saturday, all-day-Sunday, then part of the day Monday (because we were so tired) and the door frames still haven't been put on yet. So it took quite a bit longer than we expected. However, it looks so much better than it used to. If we hadn't had help from the current tenants there's no way we would've gotten it done before we have to move (this weekend!) So a big thank you to all of them.

And no, I didn't bother cleaning up before I took any of these photos. I will just be so glad when it is finally done (hopefully tonight) and we can focus on packing up our things for this Saturday!!

Home Improvement
This weekend, Ben & I (with the help of the current tenants) are tearing up the carpet in his apartment and putting in new flooring. We worked last night until 1am and got a little frustrated, but so far it looks amazing. I touched up some of the paint on the walls and all of the baseboards. I wish we had taken a before photo, but we haven't done the hall yet so maybe I'll take that photo today and then I can show you how everything looks! What a busy weekend!!

We're Back!
I am officially reporting to you as Mrs. Ben Bond!!!

Isn't that exciting :) Ben and I had such a fabulous wedding. Everything was perfect and well worth all of the months of effort. So many people were present to share such a wonderful time with us. We are so blessed to have so many close friends and family. A lot of them travelled a long way to be there for us.

Our vendors really came through for us, too. Ben Rasmussen, our photographer, was fabulous. He's already published a few of our photos from the photobooth on his website and they are just hilarious. I can't wait to see the rest of them!
Jonathan Ross, the event planner at Fairfax Marriott of Fair Oaks, is highly recommended by my parents. (They handled all details with the hotel.) They said he was outstanding to work with and that he made everything much easier. And I can tell you the hotel staff did an excellent job of actually putting on the reception. (If you live in the Northern Virginia area, you should probably check these places out if you're putting on a big event.)
Diane over at Burke Florist created some AMAZING bouquets for me and the girls. They were exactly what I wanted and just so beautiful. It's too bad flowers don't last very long, but at least we have the pictures.

And Wanda of Wanda's Cakes created the most beautiful cake I've ever seen. I couldn't have been more pleased with the way everything turned out.

Just wanted to give everyone a quick note that we're back and had such a wonderful time both at the wedding and on the honeymoon!! (St. Barths was AMAZING. I will give more details and pictures in the next few days!! As well as some more wedding pictures, as I get them!) For now, my husband and I are hanging out in Blacksburg for 2 weeks until we finally move to VA Beach (well, he's working and I'm packing up). I hope everyone has a great day!

Graduation & Commissioning--check!
So we did it! We both graduated last weekend. Ben was also commissioned into the Navy...yay!! Last weekend really flew by.

Now it feels like this week (well, really the past 2 days) have been the longest of my life. I have so much to do between now and Saturday (seriously...there's a 3-page list). Forgive me if I don't blog for another week and a half (don't leave me!) I'm just going to be preparing for the wedding, the day will come, and then jetting off to our honeymoon with my new husband :)
